UW is against the restructuring

The President and Provost have claimed that everyone is supporting their decision and we are not. They have also claimed that they have spoken to everyone, community, Donors, Dean's, Department Head's, and community colleges, when they made this announcement in July which they did not. They have fabricated the budget numbers that they have given and will not show any supporting documentation. They have caused nothing but chaos across the campus and community. Is this the best decision for the University and community? It is not. This is decision that is being made by only two people the President and Provost. Two people who have come from big cities that think they can change the only small 4 year college that Wyoming has to make a name for themselves. The priority should be the students and with this decision it is not. Everyone is struggling right now and the departments have tried to make cuts on their own to help with the budgets which does not include cutting faculty or staff. With the President and Provost's plan, positions will be cut along with pay cuts for those who move into another position. There is not a need for such a drastic change for all of us. The big question is why has Administration not taken a pay cut in their salaries to help with the budget crunch? They are the one's with the biggest salaries and it would benefit the University. Contact the Board of Trustees before their meeting in November and let them know what your feelings are about this and how you were not contacted about this issue in July before the announcement was made. How you are still not involved in the decision today. The President and Provost have claimed they have talked to everyone.
