Hi, my name is Bea and I am a longhair miniature Dachshund. I am a chocolate and tan piebald and I am going to be 5 years old in December. I am a very loving and sweet girl, but I didn't come from the best background before I came to live with my current people. I was (admittedly by the people) abused pretty severely and so it takes me a hot minute to trust new people. Once I do I am so loyal, so please be patient with me! I need someone who is going to take the time to get to know me and continue showing me that people can actually be really good. Can you help with that? I really hope so. I want a warm lap to snuggle and a soft bed to sleep in. I am crate trained for travel and at the vets office. I am house trained, but need a good schedule! I love food and it is the way to win my heart. I am good with other dogs, prefer small, but will be fine with large too. Cats are scary, but I wont hurt them- just avoid them until I get to know them and realize they wont harm me! If you think you could be the right friend for me, contact my rescuer. She is very sad to part with me but knows it is what is best!
