An evening of ceremony, memory, and inquiry for mortal beings. Hosted in collaboration with Alchemy family member and End of Life student (doula-in-study) - Stef, we invite you to join in community for an evening of open-hearted discussion about death through the transcendental gateway of memory. Together, we'll honor those we’ve loved personally and collectively, discuss the history behind the death-positive holidays we're most familiar with (and talk about appropriation vs. appreciation), culture vs. industry as it relates to American death custom, create rituals of reverence and remembrance, and find the space to discuss perhaps the most human (though rigorously avoided) aspect of life - the mortal inevitability of death. ** Please bring with you: photos of those you wish to honor as dearly departed (family, friends, loved ones, teachers, cultural figures, beloved animals, etc)a small bundle of flowers/greenery - they can be purchased or picked yourself from the abiundant natural world***This event is held by-donation with a suggested rate of $15 - $50 USD. All donations received in gratitude. Proceeds will be allocated between the venue and the facilitator to cover the cost of hosting this community experience. follow the venue at @alchemywpb
