We are a general construction company based in Ontario, California hiring for 2 positions. Part-time to full-time depending on the weekly workload. These positions require you to be available from Monday through Friday for various building and construction assignments. Some of these may be inhouse, working on our equipment and properties, or some may be commercial jobs. Construction Specialist/Handyman with commercial & residential experience Required area of knowledge includes, but is not limited to; - Must have 5+ years of professional experience as a contractor or building superintendent/handyman - Must have knowledge and experience with: drywall installation/repair/removal, painting, molding, tile installation, home/commercial remodels, tear outs, landscaping, fence installation/repairs, and similar work - Not required, but a plus if you also have knowledge & experience with plumbing (toilet repair, water heaters, garbage disposals, etc.), electrical (solar panel knowledge, light fixture installation, diagnosis etc.) and welding Job Responsibilities & Requirements: - Must be able to work alone in the field if needed - except for larger jobs which would require assistance from one or more of our technicians - Working on job sites, commercial, residential or wherever assigned - Required to turn in reports of work completed with receipts and materials itemized - Help create estimates of work orders for future and current jobs Construction Apprentice/Laborer Required area of knowledge includes but is not limited to; - Must have at least a year of professional experience in the construction field - Willing to learn and follow all safety guidelines - Some knowledge and experience with drywall installation/repair/removal, painting, molding, tile installation, home/commercial remodels, tear outs, landscaping, fence installation/repairs, and similar work. Job Responsibilities & Requirements: - Required to turn in reports of work completed with receipts and materials itemized - Working on job sites, commercial, residential or wherever assigned - Assisting others as needed on job sites - Following all directions and completing tasks as they are assigned Both Positions Require the Following: - Valid CA Driver’s License - Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, climb onto roofs, use ladders and be active while on job site - Have your own basic tools – Specialized tools will be provided as needed - Must have some smart phone and email knowledge, good customer service skills and attention to detail. You will be having contact with the public from time to time and must be able to compose yourself properly and professionally. - Hours of work are anywhere between 6 AM to 7 PM (not continuous) with a total between 20-40 hours per week depending on the work orders and assigned work available. - Send your resume, but if you don’t have one list your job history with work references – MUST include work references to be considered for an interview - Bilingual in Spanish is a plus - Pay is negotiable and will be discussed during interview
