Families Invited to Visit Santa in his Hogwart-themed Suite Sleigh bells will be ringing at Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. beginning Saturday, December 4th through Sunday, December 19th. Santa is checking into his DC residence bringing comfort and joy to all who believe in the magic of the holiday season. This year, Santa conferred with his old friend Albus Dumbledore, on a theme for his Suite in the hotel, they decided that families would enjoy a Hogwart-themed Suite. All naughty and nice children are invited to stop by Santa’s Suite with their parents on Saturdays and Sundays in December between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm through December 19nd. Gingerbread treats and other sweets created by the hotel’s pastry team are yummy treats for all visitors. Those writing a letter to Santa, and posting in his red mailbox, will receive one back. Due to his busy schedule he will depend on the postal service, rather than his sleigh, to deliver his response. In preparation for Santa’s arrival, Fairmont’s official elves have been busy transforming his Suite into a stunningly whimsical Hogwart winter wonderland. Exquisitely decorated trees will twinkle along with a host of enchanting details, from an elegant, mirrored dining table, set with places for Santa and his special guests; Sirius, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Dobby and Harry Potter, to a letter-writing station for leaving Christmas wish lists. Santa’s Suite is available for 15 minute family visits at no charge. Groups of 10 may tour his suite and share their Christmas wishes with Santa himself. Guests are encouraged to make a donation to Horton’s Kids during visits. Santa’s Suite is also available for small receptions and even wedding proposals.
