All Jewish 8-12 graders in the DMV are invited to TILT, a leadership training opportunity focused on understanding diversity and teamwork.
This special one-day event is designed to help you become a more effective leader of people with different backgrounds, upbringings, ideas, etc.
Some workshop topics that may be presented include: leading diverse teams, diversity and conflict management, learning when to ask for help, and Balancing leadership and trust in your team.
Speakers include:
Alysha Clark, Alysha is a 2-time WNBA Champion (2018, 2020), 2-time WNBA All-Defensive Team selection, 2-time State Farm Community Assist Award winner and has won league championships in Israel, Poland and France. She was also a member of the Israeli Women’s National Team from 2015-2017. Alysha has continued her philanthropic heart by being an advocate for social justice causes by speaking out against racial inequity and anti-Semitism, assisting people in various communities get registered to vote and using her voice and platform to advocate for change.
Rev. Thomas L. Bowen, the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Religious Affairs and the Interim Director of the Mayor’s Office on African American Affairs in the Executive Office of Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser.

All participants must be vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be requested at check-in. Masks will be required of all participants except when eating and drinking. Lunch is included and will be served outside (weather permitting) or in our lobby with doors to the outside open for maximum airflow.
TILT is hosted and organized by WHECTY, the senior youth group at Washington Hebrew Congregation.
