14 Displaced After Fire In Multi-Family Dorchester Home

DORCHESTER, MA — Fourteen people were displaced after a fire started in a Dorchester multi-family home early Friday morning. Firefighters were called to 1631 Dorchester Avenue around 12:30 a.m. after a report of a fire. Once crews got to the scene, they found flames coming from the first floor of the building and ordered a second alarm. There were no reported injuries, but the Boston Fire Department said fourteen people were displaced, seven adults and seven children. The American Red Cross is helping those who were displaced find housing while crews work to investigate the cause of the fire. Companies are making up from the 2nd alarm fire at 1631 Dorchester Ave. There are no injuries to report, 14 residents are displaced (7 adults & 7 children) BFD -VAU & ⁦@RedCrossMA⁩ to help find housing.
