KING COUNTY, WA — King County deputies are asking the public's help finding a man accused of breaking into a grocery store recently.
According to the sheriff's office, on Oct. 15 at 1:23 p.m., deputies responded to commercial burglary at the 20200 block of 276th Avenue SE. This area is in the Hobart community, in unincorporated King County.
Deputies said they arrived on scene and spoke with an employee of the business, a grocery store, who said they discovered that someone broke into their rear storage area. This area is locked and fenced. The employee found part of the fence cut and noticed that the store's pressure washer was missing, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said a review of surveillance cameras, which covered the entire building, caught the suspect pulling up in an older van after hours. A man was seen walking around the area and cutting a portion of the fence. The male carts off the pressure washer, puts it in his van and drives away.
The van is an older model and dark in color with a rack on the top, deputies said.
If you recognize the man or his van, deputies said they want to hear from you. Contact the department's 24-hour non-emergency number at 206-296-3311 and reference case C21032757.
