Try something different this holiday season with these traditional Italian sweets! In this workshop you will learn to make two traditional and festive Italian sweets that are not so well known in the United States: Chocolate Salami (a cylinder chocolate sweet with nuts and some dry fruit) and Sweet Peaches (Tuscany pastries dipped in liquor and filled with cream). These are unique and delicious treats, perfect to serve at your upcoming holiday parties or to offer as a gift. Along with learning to bake these delicious desserts you will also be taken on a journey where you will discover the cultural and historical bases of Italian sweet cuisine. Chef Patricia will share her vast knowledge of all the "Sweet Bites that Italy has to offer!" You will be invited to take part (hands-on) in some of the preparation, while you engage with the class as we share any experiences, memories of Italian traditions and culinary culture. This class is intended to be just as interesting as it will be yummy! This is a semi hands on class which means you will be participating in some of the process. You will enjoy a small charcuterie plate along with a glass of wine and/or tea, lemonade, and water, along with a serving of each treat. Please be prepared with ID at check-in if you wish to have wine during your class. You will receive 20% off any shopping you choose to do (some exclusions apply) You will have 30 minutes after the class to shop.
