WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — A woman was shot and killed in West Hollywood Thursday, and her killer remains at large. Authorities are asking potential witnesses to come forward after a woman was found at least one gunshot wound at a Santa Monica Boulevard apartment complex Thursday evening. She later died at a nearby hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Deputies were called to the complex in the 7300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, near Plummer Park at about 7:30 p.m. to respond to reports of a shooting. They found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound at the scene, according to the Deputy Miguel Meza of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died of her wounds. Her name was withheld pending notification of her next of kin. An investigation into the shooting was ongoing and anyone with information was asked to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
