Eighth Grade Open House Planned At LHS

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School will host its annual eighth grade open house for current eighth grade students and their families to visit campus and meet the teachers, counselors and administrators, the school said in a release. The open house will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 10. Any incoming student who lives within the school's attendance boundaries, or who will live within those boundaries during the 2022-23 school year, is encouraged to take advantage of the sneak peek the open house provides, the school said. Lemont High School's attendance boundaries include Lemont and portions of Darien, Downers Grove and Woodridge. Students and their families will also have the chance to learn about the academic and extracurricular programs offered by Lemont High School, the school said. Guests may visit various areas of the building as well, including athletic facilities, the performing arts center and the CITGO Innovation Academy. The open house will begin in the performing art center on the southwest side of campus. Individuals with disabilities who need accommodations are encouraged to call the school's main line, 630-257-5838, in advance to make arrangements. To align with current health and safety mandates from the State of Illinois, masks or face coverings will be required at all times for attendees, the school said.
