Aspiring rock singer/songwriter seeking band

I've been playing guitar and working on my singing in my basement for about 3 years. I've never played with anyone else. I have 8 songs that exist in fragments, and I want to turn them into finished products and then record and perform them. I'm a 44-year-old professional with a wife and kids, so I'm not interested in being a rock star. But I want to perform original songs in Charlottesville. I will need to work on covers in order to get the whole "playing as a band" thing down. I don't care what you play. I pretty much need everything. My main influences are Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Fugazi, and pre-sellout Modest Mouse. I also really like Neil Young, Deathcab, and Nirvana, and I'm getting into Wilco. I have a tiny bit of NIN in me. Not sure that it matters, but I have a Scarlett 2i2, SM58, Logic Pro, American Jazzmast, Martin AE, and rhythm-oriented guitar board. I can't play lead. I'm not the best singer, but who needs good singers if you can write good songs? Ask Sonic Youth. I have a practice space, but my wife isn't crazy about me bringing strangers over until I get to know them. The Craigslist relay screws up all the time.
