Description

Hi. The first thing I want to make clear is that I am NOT a luthier. I am quite qualified as a guitar tech, having done hundreds of acoustic guitar setups and thousands of string changes thru the years. I have rewired and properly installed pickups into electric and acoustic guitars. I have fixed botched wiring/grounding/sheilding... What I DON'T do.. is repair wood, or refinish paint,, or any surfaces.. For any of that I myself would bring my guitar to a qualified in repairs Luthier. That all being said... Do you ever need help changing or selecting the right kind of strings for your guitar? Does your acoustic guitar have a lot of buzzes and noises, and you are just not comfortable doing anything to it? Maybe you would like a pick up or microphone put into your acoustic guitar so you could plug it in and play through PA or an amp? This is a list of the most common, not all of the things I could accomplish : Nut changes and upgrades/shaping/shimming including filing for selected string groove size.. Saddle changes and upgrades/shaping/shimming Proper Truss Rod adjustment Polish/Dress frets and minor Crown work Oil and treat wood..general deep cleaning. Custom Pickguard install Pin replacements and upgrades.. String changes and help with selecting the 'right' strings for your instrument, style of play and preferences.. I have multiple sources for custom nuts/saddles/pins.. as well as LR Baggs products... which I highly recommend. I charge by the hour, for labor only.. any items I get for you will be at the price anyone could buy them for... I DO get a bit of a discount on my end.. tbh. I only charge $25 per hour.. with the minimum being $15. (Quick string change only for example). I offer pickup and/or drop-off service if needed. $10.. local in Missoula.. $1 per mile after. This is only to offer folks who are stuck at home..don't drive...etc. If at any point you ask, or I think your guitar needs to be serviced by a more qualified luthier I will gladly give you some numbers to call. :) This could be worth it if you have an old guitar laying around but it's not very playable.. . I'd love to help.
