Hear the power and versatility of the accordion as performed by Accordionist Elijah Clements. Elijah Clements is 18-years old. He started taking Piano Accordion lessons four years ago. A year later he made the decision to switch to the “B” System Button Accordion. Last year, Elijah expanded his Accordion skills by adding the “freebass” system to his repertoire. In 2018, at the Accordion Teachers Guild, Elijah competed in six events, placing in all six. He earned “Superior” in Original Solo and Ethnic/Folk Solo and “Excellent” in Open Duet, Polka Duet, Jazz Solo, and Open Solo. In 2019, in addition to winning the Big Squeeze Polka Competition, Elijah was a Guest Accordionist at the International Accordion Convention in Las Vegas, NV. After only four-years of accordion lessons, Elijah competed internationally at the Tropheé Mondial where he finished 8th in World Competition. Classical and contemporary music showcasing the power and versatility of the accordion.
