Description
BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Village of Bolingbrook and the Will County Health Department will offer a Pfizer booster vaccination clinic on Nov. 1 and 2.
The clinic will be held at the Bolingbrook Community Center, 201 Canterbury Lane; and is by appointment only. You can register for an appointment online.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said those eligible for a booster shot include people 65 and older, those 18+ who live in long-term care settings, 18+ who have underlying medical conditions and age 18+ who work or live in high-risk settings. If you received a Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, you are eligible for a booster six months after the initial series of shots. If you received the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, booster shots are recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated two or more months ago, the CDC said.
Individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose, according to the CDC. New recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.
