24th Judicial District Attorney Andy Hamlin says Charlie Antaira Craig, 37, is accused of cashing her federal Economic Impact Payment, before then filing a claim that it had been stolen in order to receive a replacement.
Craig was charged with first-degree theft Thursday. As of Friday, Hamlin said she remained in the Pickens County Jail Friday with bond set at $5,000.
Hamlin then encouraged those with information about the case or any others involving stimulus funds fraud to call (205) 367-9915.
