Small dog running loose

Unfortunately I could not catch him/her, as s/he panicked when I approached. Small dog -- dark grey terrier-like mix, a little shaggy, perhaps around 15 lbs? -- seen at intersection of Summer St. and Holland in Lewiston around 3 p.m. Animal control was called, but I have no idea if they actually went out and by then this poor dog may have been long gone. Someone in the neighborhood said this dog's been out a while, as he had tried to catch him/her as well a couple of days ago. If you are missing your dog, please go and look and call animal control. Dog seemed very hungry with a naturally thin coat and the nights are so cold. Thank you.
