Local Retail Store - Stock/Porter Job Description The Stock Person / Porter is responsible for overseeing stocking, receiving, and cleaning responsibilities in the store. The Stock Person stocks items for a small ~800 sqft retail floor. The Shift Porter maintains a clean work environment for the retail floor and the storage area. The ideal candidate is a self starter who enjoys organizing and has a keen attention to detail. This position reports directly to the Store Manager. Key Responsibilities: * Stock fridges on a daily basis, practicing Fifo * Responsible for keeping all shelves well stocked, and properly signed * Merchandise all shelves and displays * Ensure cleanliness for entire store - both sales floor and storage area - by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and performing other tasks as needed Additional Responsibilities: * Report low or out of stock items to Floor Managers and Buyers * Breakdown of cardboard boxes on a daily basis * Complete miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by Stock/Receiving Manager and Floor Managers Qualifications: * Ability to show up on a mutually agreeable time on prompt and timely basis * Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate a cart & dolly (on the job training provided) * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Job Type: Part-time * Salary: $12.00 /hour Experience: * No prior experience needed Additional Compensation: * Store Discounts Work Location: * East Austin 78702 * One location Schedule: * Pick your hours!
