American Bamboo Company LLC is currently hiring a temporary bamboo services field specialist to join our team. American Bamboo Company LLC was founded in 2018 in Seattle, WA. We specialize in the installation, containment, maintenance, and removal of bamboo plants. We’re a team of supportive, fun, flexible, and inclusive individuals collaborating on all of our bamboo services, performed on work sites throughout Western Washington, ensuring trust-worthy and dependable results for our residential and commercial customers. Location: Our workshop is located in north Seattle near Aurora Ave N off N 125th St. Employees must be able to provide their own reliable transportation to worksites or to designated carpool locations every day. Hours: Field services are scheduled on Mondays through Thursdays. This position is for 32-40 hours per week. A typical day starts around 8:30 AM and ends around 4:30 PM. The exact hours can vary depending on the location of the worksite and the scope of the project. Pay: Pay is $40.00/hour Job Description/Duties: Common tools: sawzall chainsaw bamboo shovel slam bar pickaxe variety of other hand tools Common machinery: stand up stump grinder tracked stump grinder trenching machine. Common tasks: cutting down above ground bamboo culms stump grinding underground bamboo root balls removing underground bamboo rhizomes digging 12-26” deep trenches (either by hand or by machinery) hauling soil and sand loading biomass for disposal. Job Requirements/Skills: work as part of a team to achieve common goals must be able to work outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather lift minimum of 60 pounds punctual safety first mentality attention to detail self-motivated clear and open communicator customer relations landscaping and/or construction experience preferred
