Our parish is seeking good, CONTEMPORARY musicians.... you do not have to read music notation, but you do have to be able to read guitar chords and play from that. You must be good enough so that you're not embarrassed to be mic'd. We have lots of people who want to fade into the background. What we need are good musicians who are at the level you can plugin your amp and be heard. We need people who are available to do a solid practice, and a pre-Mass rehearsal. Not just wing it 30 minutes before service starts. If you are a Catholic Christian and you've wanted to get involved but your parish doesn't play the contemporary style of music you're good at, we may be good fit. This is not a paid gig. It's a way to use your talent for God. WE NEED***************** Guitarists - both acoustic and electric Bassists Percussionists - cajon, shakers, electronic drum kit, djembe Keyboard players - worship pads, etc Pianists Other stringed instruments like Ukulele, Mandolin, Banduria, Banjo Orchestral instrumentalists IF you can play creatively (not by notation) - meaning, you can find the space between the sung phrases and do filler riffs, not just play the melody that is written. ************************
