Heartland rock band?

Yes, it's an idea for a start-up and I am a drummer, though I can sing some. By definition, "heartland rock" would be stuff like Mellencamp, Petty, Springsteen, BoDeans, but throwing in truly related stuff like Bryan Adams, Thorogood, Young and maybe some of the more rocking alt-country that emerged from the genre would be fine. Not really interested in southern rock since that music has its own genre already. Anyway, seems like a fairly simple idea that would probably do well around here. Let me know what you play and anything else you can think to add so I know a bit about you. Thanks!
