Lead Custodian $17.64 per hour Regular, Full-Time Our Mission: Inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action. Under the supervision of the Custodial Operations Manager, the Lead Custodian plans and schedules work assignments, provides supervision and training to OMSI custodial staff as assigned, and personally performs custodial tasks and other related duties as assigned. In joining the OMSI team, you also participate in OMSI’s vision to ignite an education transformation at the intersection of science and technology that spreads educational opportunities across the Northwest. Position Requirements You must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for an accommodation under the ADA for medical or religious reasons. • Knowledge of proper methods, techniques, materials, disinfectants, tools and equipment used in modern custodial work. • Exceptional time management, project management, organization, and planning. • Interpersonal skills using patience, tact, and courtesy. • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. • Ability to use, operate and maintain custodial equipment, and ability to troubleshoot and provide minor maintenance services for custodial equipment. • Ability to serve as a positive role model and leader for the custodial crew • Minimum 2 years of experience in custodial and grounds-keeping services. • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience. • Working knowledge of custodial equipment and practices. • Pass pre-employment checks, such as criminal background check and reference checks Compensation Package • Competitive health benefits. • Vacation, Personal Days, Sick Days, and Holiday Pay! • Free OMSI annual membership • Reciprocal Employee Attractions Pass – valid for two free general admissions to 23 Oregon attractions.
