ISO Puppy - Finding only scammers

Trying to adopt a small to medium size puppy. Have answered nearly 100 Craigslist ads -- some obvious scams, some pretty convincing ones -- but nothing but scams. Truly shameful! Please do not contact me if you think you can fool me or if you're some unholy puppy farm. I want to adopt from decent, genuine people (or rescue organization) who have a puppy in need of a good, loving home (which I can provide). Can pay a small, reasonable rehoming fee (depending on what vet bills have already been covered). Don't particularly care about breed -- mutts are fine -- but I don't have room to care for a large dog. Sadly, I'm naturally clumsy, so I also need to avoid any super tiny breeds that might squish easily. To you honest folks reading this and those who have replied with advice on other agencies, thank you! I've received some very pleasant replies with helpful information. Thanks for being so cool. To the scammers who keep flagging this post, you're really giving me a good laugh! You obviously have no reason and are having no luck. NO LUCK AT ALL! HAHA! I realize you don't want your scams discovered, but all scammers I find will get flagged and reported. Summary: ISO small to medium puppy, reasonable rehoming fee, scammers are LAUGHABLY INCOMPETENT!
