An established, international manufacturing company in Rancho Santa Margarita is searching for a Material Handler with Forklift experience. The hours are 6AM to 2:30PM. This position is a temp-to-hire opportunity. The pay is $20 to $24 an hour. Once hired by the company, there are excellent employee benefits available. Material Handler Responsibilities: * Operate forklift and stackers to move material and finished products from one location to another * Removes metal chips and refuse by hauling to proper containers for recycling or storing * Moves material, product and equipment to and from work area * Loads and unloads trucks, and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit * Works from route cards, written and verbal instructions from leader, salaried personnel, or employee being assisted * Opens containers * Secures lifting attachments to materials * Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together * Punctual, reliable, consistent & a great attitude! * Lifts heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist Materials Handler Qualifications: * Ability to operate a forklift is a must * Ability to lift materials weighing up to 40lbs, in order to load and unload trucks * Ability to differentiate between different types of materials * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
