Female Hound Mix around the age of 5 we are guessing, we could be wrong. She is in need of a good loving home with someone who can give her more attention and have the time to be able to spend with her to train her. She has the potential of being someone's best friend and an extremely good dog, unfortunately though she does not fit into our lifestyle so we are needing to place her into a home that would make her happier. She would do great with a single or even a couple with older kids. She can be unpredictable with younger children and we don't want her or our kids getting harmed. We have tried multiple training techniques with her, and at this point it would be easier and better for her if she could find someone who could be all about her. She loves to go on walks and be outdoors, but she also enjoys snuggling up to you on the couch and being a lazy house dog. She does pull on her leash when she walks because she gets super excited about being outdoors but after a while she can calm down. We do recommend a harness when going on long walks to make it less stressful for her and you. She is not a huge fan of strangers so we would like to do a meet and greet to make sure she is the fit for you. We want to make sure everyone is happy in this as we don't want to see her get tossed around from person to person and we only want what is best for her. She's just very picky on who she likes, some people she loves, others she's very leery of. She definitely has that hound bark in her and every little sound she hears she will make sure to alert you of it. Sometimes even when its just a cricket farting in the wind, she wants to make sure you've been warned. We have had thoughts that if someone would take the time to train her and spend with her that she may even make a good hunting dog. We are not 100 percent sure of this, but we do know she'd love a good outdoorsman so that she could see and explore the world like we know she really wants to do. She is current on all her vaccines as we have just made sure that she was updated on everything. She will need her booster shots in a few weeks, but we will provide full medical records so that you have all the information needed. She is not spayed but we can refer you to a wonderful vet office if needed. She just had a 3 month supply of flea and tick treatment so she is good until January and we are also going to include a box of topical flea and tick treatment if you should decide to use it. She does have a little skin irritation at the moment that we are not sure of the cause, but we also have medicated shampoo that will come with her. We are also going to include her crate to come with her so that it may make it easier for her to adjust or if you'd like to crate her when you are away from the house or at night. We are asking a rehoming fee to insure that she is going to a good and loving home. We honestly just want her safe and happy and living to her fullest potential.
