Mammoth Constructors, LLC is seeking a mechanic assistant for full-time employment. The mechanic needs to be able to read and understand basic instructions. They should be able to take direction well, have strong decision-making skills, and possess basic math skills. This person will be self-motivated, team oriented with a strong work ethic and use considerable independent judgement. The duties listed below are essential functions of the position. Duties: Coordinate the scheduling of repairs and routine maintenance. Repairs, and/or replaces vehicle parts such as parts on steering and brake systems. Replaces shock absorbers, checks and balances wheels, and checks for proper tire alignment. Light to moderate skill needed to perform oil changes, electrical work, such as servicing, installing batteries and terminals, repairing and adjusting lights, and repairing generators and starters. Uses diagnostic equipment as an aid in locating vehicle defects. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of automotive diagnosis and repair. Skill in the diagnosis and repair of automotive equipment. Skill in operating shop tools and machines. Hydraulic experience a plus Must have a CLEAN valid driver license – Class B CDL – Preferred – BE INSURABLE Compensation and Benefits: Compensation starting at $16 per hour, depending on experience.
