CLD's mission is to heal the dance community – the inability to visit loved ones at hospitals or attend funerals, during the pandemic, to wish farewell to family and friends, affects the grieving process.
To promote health and wellness – the Celebration of Life Dance celebration will promote health and wellness through awareness of urban partner dance styles and line dancing.
Dancing for mental health – Dancing activities have become a major part of fitness activities for people of all ages, especially seniors, and retirees.
Dancing for socialization – Dancing prevents isolation among seniors and retirees under normal circumstances and is especially important now, given that isolation has been required for a period of time.
