We are a small real estate management company seeking A reliable building super and a handyman for residential properties located in Brooklyn. Our company is looking for someone who can act quickly and professionally when repairing or maintaining the building and grounds and who works well with people. The individual Should be experienced with plumbing, general maintenance and electrical. Duties for the super include but are not limited to: • Garbage removal weekly • General maintenance and minor building repairs • Respond to daily maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely manner • Keep the building clean and presentable – make sure there is no litter on the sidewalk and alert management if there are pests/bugs in common areas • Provide access for inspections and utility appointments • Routine tasks such as fixing leaky pipes, painting rooms, patching drywall and fitting locks • Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary • Ability to safely use common power and hand tools • HVAC knowledge and repair skills (BIG Plus) • Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc. • Perform maintenance and light repairs • Repair equipment or appliances • Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (i.e., shoveling snow) • Identify and report the need for major repairs 1. Plumbing: Make repairs as needed on all plumbing including, but not limited to, the following: stop leaks, clamp and/or plug; faucet repairs; waste lines; stoppage; toilet; pop-up stoppers; replacement of shower bodies and related work. 2. Painting and finishing: Perform painting and finishing work including, but not limited to, the following: painting of interior walls, ceilings, and trim; painting of exterior trim and metalwork; painting of units and common areas, including walls, ceiling and trim and staining woodwork. 3. Light Fixtures: Ensure that all interior and light fixtures are in proper working order. Requirements: Applicant MUST have their BASIC tools & CAR 2 years or more of experience working as a super • Strong communication skills with property management and tenants • Well-organized and detail oriented • Must be able to work full time between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM weekly.
