General Description: The TC Non-Fiction Book Club -- previously known as the TCAG Non-Fiction Book Club and originally stationed at the Aspen Grove location -- reads whatever nonfiction strikes our fancy. We read history, memoir, biography, essays, true crime, business, psychology -- we're not picky and we like to get around. And often the best part is "I would never have picked up this book on my own, but I'm so glad I read this!" Moderator Bio - Colfax Avenue Holly Hunt first started working in the Cherry Creek Tattered Cover in the nineties. Since then, she has worked at the store off and on while teaching college writing. She enjoys both fiction and nonfiction, especially history, art history, and food writing. Moderator Bio - McGregor Square Alan is a proud sixth-generation Denver native and is a three-time alumnus of the University of Denver (go Pioneers!). Before joining the ownership group who purchased Tattered Cover in December 2020, he ran a philanthropic advisory firm, specializing in early stage development and board governance. When he's not working, he enjoys writing, politics, all things sports (real and fantasy) and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer. He enjoys reading any non-fiction, specifically American history and the American presidency. Moderator Bio - Aspen Grove Jennifer -- Arizona born and Colorado raised -- has been at the Tattered Cover for enough years that she’s lost count. She’s a bibliophile -- a wide-ranging bibliophile -- and loves the scope of the Nonfiction Book Club's selections. Some of her book club favorites (at the moment) include: Bad Blood, Talking to Strangers, and Humble Pi. She also enjoys reading literary fiction, science fiction & fantasy, and poetry. Book Club Code of Conduct: Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions. Attempt collaboration before conflict. Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech. Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. ** DISCLAIMER: Event details, signing rules and restrictions are subject to changes beyond our control, and often change up to and during the event.
