Deck the Park - Holiday Picnic Ring in the Holiday Season with Memorial Park Conservancy’s “Deck the Park Family Picnic” sponsored by Green Mountain Energy. This family-friendly one-night-only event will feature an exclusive preview of the Holiday Lights before opening to the public. Guests will toast with hot cocoa, enjoy holiday treats & sing carols with friends in Live Oak Court. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the festivities from the Eastern Glades Event Lawn. All are invited! Explore Eastern Glades while sipping on hot chocolate, and be sure to stop by the cookie decorating and ornament decorating areas. Live music and Holiday Carolers will be spreading joy throughout the evening. We will also have a letter-writing and mailbox station for Santa. Be sure to stay after dark to enjoy the beautiful Holiday Lights and a screening of “The Grinch” – This is one Holiday event you don’t want to miss! Event Schedule: 4:00 pm – Gates open + picnic lawn opens to the public 6:00pm – HOLIDAY LIGHTS SNEAK PREVIEW!! 7:30 pm – Screening of “The Grinch” 9:00 pm – Screening Concludes Gates will open to the public at 4:00 pm. Food trucks, holiday carolers, and family activities will be available from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Be sure to arrive early to find a place on the lawn for picnicking and the event movie.
