Expanding Frontiers ‘Shark Tank’ Style Pitch Competition Expanding Frontiers (ExF) is excited to launch its first annual Pitch Competition that will allow the emerging companies of the EIRA 2021 cohort to compete for cash prizes in a “Shark Tank” style event. Entrepreneurship embraces diligence, risk-taking, hustle, early mornings, late nights, sacrifice, epic levels of passion and grit. The companies competing for the cash prizes are graduates of ExF’s 2021 Entrepreneur in Residence Apprenticeship (EIRA) Program. EIRA was designed to offer aspiring entrepreneurs a clear pathway to NewSpace and energy entrepreneurship by matching them with NASA technologies available for licensing. Expanding Frontiers created this program to immerse participants in entrepreneurship training, supported by an extensive panel of experts as mentors. The prize money will help the winning startups continue to fuel their development, knowing that this prize is not the destination, but part of their entrepreneurial journey to make a lasting commercial impact with their innovations. All profits from the sale of event tickets will be used to fund other ExF programs, including the Space Entrepreneur Summer Academy and the Space Settlement Design Tournament.
