Medical class focused on utilization of trauma kits and IFAKs Lucien Gendron has been a Paramedic for the last 20 years.  During that time he has worked both rural and urban EMS, contracted overseas for the Department of Defense, and is currently the EMS Coordinator for a fire department in Maine.  Along with his time as a paramedic, he also instructs Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, and numerous other classes.  This class will go beyond the standard first aid and Stop the Bleed material to include the most current trauma care including: * Patient assessment * Hemorrhage control and tourniquet application * Wound packing * Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety * Hypothermia prevention This class is ideal for anyone looking to learn first aid skills.  If you shoot, conceal carry, or hunt this class is for you.   We will go over the customization of your first aid kit if you have one, placement on your body armor, battle belt, or the best place to keep one should you ever need to use it. The cost of the class includes an individual first aid kit and Stop The Bleed certification. This course will be held in an indoor classroom. Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. Packing a lunch is recommended but stores are nearby. If you have a plate carrier, chest rig, or battle belt please bring it. Bring notepaper and a writing implement. Arrive early.
