Enjoy traditional Indian Food at this joyous celebration
The BAPS Campus Fellowship of The University of Georgia would like to cordially invite you and your family to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, and the Hindu New Year at the Tate Grand Hall at The University of Georgia on November 16th. The event will be between 7:00 pm-9:00 pm whereupon students and invited guests will be able to enjoy the enlightening and educational exhibition put together by university students and take part in the tradition of celebrating Diwali and the Hindu New Year.
As a part of the festivities this year, the Annakut celebration (an offering of a variety of foods prepared by the students) will include various sweet and savory vegetarian dishes and will be decoratively displayed and sanctified during the celebrations.
This year, this Diwali program themed “In the Joy of Others - Fostering Harmony through Humility” will be happening at multiple universities throughout North America the nation with the objective to cultivate harmony in our homes, schools, and workplaces by raising awareness for the value of humility.
