Description

Need to relax? To get a deep tissue stretch? Balance your internal energy? You've found the right yoga class! Yin Yoga is all about deep relaxation. This isn't a typical power yoga class. It's designed to decompress, detoxify, and deeply restore the body. In Yin Yoga, postures are held for 2-5 minutes and the postures are primarily seated or lying down. The movements are specifically designed to compress and release the deep connective tissues, or fascia, that surround our muslces, bones, organs, etc. to strengthen and lengthen those tissues. When we have tight fascia, our muscles have no where to grow because they are limited by how long and strong the fascia is. At Los Campeones, having strong muscles is the name of the game and as the owner, Ryan Nelson, says - a long muslce is a strong muscle. Not only does this 60-minute, relaxing class help to lengthen and strengthen the fascia, it works through all 7 major energy centers, or chakras, in the body. Compressing and releasing the areas of the major chakras helps to detoxify and balance the energies in the body. Every flow at Los Campeones includes a full body scan and balancing via the postures and the sound bath bianaural beats that play along with the flow. The classes are open to all and mats and blocks are provided for the first 10 students that need them at this time. Savasana (final relaxation) after a beautiful hip-opening yin flow at Los Campeones Gym in Tempe, AZ. Deep meditation after an arm and shoulder focused yin flow. Incorporating meditative breathwork and meditating to Alan Watts philosophy.
