WEYMOUTH, MA — A shelter has been opened at Weymouth High School for people forced out of their homes by Wednesday's nor'easter. This comes after more than 450,000 people were reported to have lost power Wednesday by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. As of 3:45 p.m. Thursday, more than 8,700 people in Weymouth were still left without power. The storm damage has forced schools to cancel or delay classes, impacted morning commutes, and even forced a warning to stay off the roads. Weymouth High School cancelled classes Wednesday and Thursday due to the storm. If you are in need of Red Cross assistance anywhere in Massachusetts, please call 1-800-564-1234.
