The Department of Public Works Water Division will be flushing water mains this fall.
Hydrant flushing will take place in areas of Wakefield north of Water Street and Broadway from October 26 to November 17. Flushing will occur in areas of Wakefield south of Water and Broadway from November 10 to December 3.
You may experience discolored water and/or reduced pressure during these times. Home owners with water filters should refrain from using them during this time. Your understanding and cooperation during this important maintenance process is appreciated. If you have a question or concern you can contact the Department of Public Works at 781-246-6305.
