Learn how to make your own soap in this fun two hour hands-on workshop.
Join John Hanson, Owner/Maker of Longfellow Soap Company, in a two hour class to learn how to make soap using the cold process method that has existed for thousands of years.
John has been making soap for ten years and has been selling soap and teaching classes for eight. Over 500 people have taken his classes and his YouTube video has been seen by over 570,000 people. He has been called the “Bob Ross” of soap making by over 300 people, which he considers an honor.
Each student will receive a copy of his teaching manual that includes an ingredient list, equipment list, his recipe, method for making soap, and sources for essential oil, ingredients, and equipment. You will also receive a silicone mold and will pour soap to take home.
John’s career includes 32 years in retail/wholesale purchasing, product design, carpentry, and custom kitchen cabinet building. He also does wood turning, custom stained glass, and makes lamps from Lake Superior rocks.
