PATCHOGUE, NY — The Village of Patchogue is hosting a trunk or treat event at its recreation department headquarters on Bay Avenue on Saturday. The free event, which will run from 3 to 6 p.m., is being billed as a "safe trick or treating experience for families, as well as a fun evening for all ages," according to a promotion. Kids of all ages are welcome to attend and "enjoy the festive fun nature of Halloween in a safe and controlled environment, trick or treating from themed vehicles," the promotion read. It will include a Halloween Town Tunnel that visitors can walk through and giveaways for the first 50 kids, as well as prizes for the top two costumes and top three cars.
