Culinary historian Gregory Funk will share and demonstrate recipes for various side dishes that can be used at your holiday tables! Join us for the November installment of Wyck's Home Farm Foodways series, which includes weekly farm workdays and monthly skill-building workshops at Wyck. This will be the last workshop of the year before the Home Farm Foodways series begins again in April 2022. In this session, culinary historian Gregory Funk will explore memories of holiday foods by sharing his own family recipes as well as recipes found in the historic cookbooks of former Wyck residents. Participants are asked to bring a recipe of a memorable holiday dish. This workshop will celebrate the upcoming holiday season by considering the memories attached to food and connecting your own family recipes to those made here at Wyck. The session will also include samples and recipes for participants to take home with them. This workshop will take place at Wyck (6026 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144). We will gather in the education building next to the Walnut Lane entrance.
