MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Liquid Church will be celebrating the grand opening of its Mercer County Campus on Sunday. The new location, at 545 Meadow Road West Windsor, is the result of a ministry merger with Princeton Meadow Church. To celebrate the opening, Sunday service will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Earlier this year, the congregation at Princeton Meadow Church voted to merge ministries with Liquid Church. The Princeton Meadow congregation was led by Pastor Ken Smith, who founded and led the church for over 40 years. "Princeton Meadow is a spectacular church with a rich spiritual legacy," Tim Lucas, lead pastor and founder of Liquid Church said. "We see this merger as an exciting opportunity to combine the rich history of Princeton Meadow — located just 4 miles from prestigious Princeton University — with the fresh ministry momentum of Liquid." This merger will be the church's third. It "rebirthed" the Mountainside Gospel Chapel in 2013 and the former St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Garwood in 2016. Liquid Church has locations in seven New Jersey counties. The Mercer County church includes a craftsman sanctuary with a capacity for 500 attendees per service. During the summer and fall, the Church conducted minor renovations on the building, which included refreshing children's ministry spaces and installing new technology in the sanctuary. The Church also plans to purchase a shuttle bus for use by college students at Princeton University, Rider University, and The College of New Jersey for transportation to Sunday Worship Services. They are also designing small groups, outreaches, and events for college students. As part of the church's grand opening celebration on Oct. 31, the church will host "Candypalooza" during its 9:30 a.m. service where kids of all ages can come dressed in fun costumes to receive a bag full of candy.
