JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — More than 68,000 ballots have been returned so far in Jefferson County ahead of the Nov. 2 election, officials announced Thursday. Ballots are coming in by drop box and mail, said George Stern, the county's clerk and recorder. "Thank you to all of you who have voted early!" he said in a county elections update. "Voters in Jeffco have returned more ballots than any other county in the state. Let's keep up the pace and get those ballots in." But if you need to vote in person, the first round of voter centers have opened — services include accessible voting equipment, voter registration or changes, replacement ballots and of course, in-person voting. Important Election Dates Nov. 1: The Jeffco Clerk and Recorder's Office will take voters' questions and give them a front-row seat to the county's ballot processing center via a Facebook Live video tour at 1 p.m., officials said.Nov. 2: Election Day. You can use any drop box up until 7 p.m., or if you need additional services (registering to vote, getting a replacement ballot, etc.), you can use any vote center up until 7 p.m. as well. In past elections, Jeffco has had some of the highest ballot return rates in Colorado. The county pulled ahead of El Paso County this week to take the No. 1 spot ahead of the Nov. 2 election.
