need window fixed

Description

i am missing a piece to my window which makes it unable to stay open and also wont let it close all the way either. it has no traction just falls right down and ive smashed my hand a few times now. called some stores they all want 800 for a whole new window. called some independent contractors hoping theyd know which piece i need because youd think finding the missing piece would be a cheap easy fix. but no one knows what piece i need and no one can help me. does anyone fix windows and have an idea what to do
