Currently, we are seeking a journeyman body technician for our Shingle Springs location. [We also have positions in Rocklin and Auburn for this position!] Why Kniesel’s? Essential Job Duties: • Complete disassembly and assessment of vehicle to assist Account Managers in determining damage to prepare an accurate repair plan. • Ability to effectively communicate with Account Managers and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts. • Plan work procedure and follow work order for all operations listed. Closely follow Kniesel’s QC SOP to ensure the highest standard of quality. • Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time. • Repair or replace defective parts. • Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards. • Comply with Kniesel’s Collision Core Values, guidelines, and standards. • Understanding and following federal, state, and local regulations that affect the collision center’s operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA guidelines, etc. • Perform other related duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to assisting other team members, washing cars, cleaning the shop, etc. Skill/Requirements • Must align with Kniesel’s six Core Values • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment. • Ability to effectively communicate with others. • Ability to read and understand instructions on written estimates, work orders, and SOP’s.
