The Brookland Dog Walking Company has an immediate opening for an Assistant Manager (part-time).
We're looking for someone who will not only provide exceptional care for dogs, but will also work well as a part of our team and represent the company with excellent customer service and reliability. Previous management or team lead experience is required. Experience with pets (boarding, grooming, walking, vet office) and working with customers is preferred. Must possess an honest work ethic, sound judgment, and understanding of client relationships.
Duties include: maintaining walk schedules for 5-10 staff, responding to client requests via email, phone, and text, and providing dog walks. The assistant manager will work closely with the general manager to ensure all staff and client needs are met. Hiring preference will be given to those who have previous paid experience maintaining and building a social media (Instagram, Facebook) presence and implementing online marketing campaigns.
Smartphone with internet access requirement: We use a mobile scheduling system so our walkers have convenient access to their schedules. All new hires will receive on-the-job training.
In addition to the above requirements, our ideal candidate is outgoing, patient, and easy to work with. You should enjoy meeting new people, take pride in helping others, and feel excited to work outdoors with animals.
Starting pay is $20/hour, with the potential for a full-time assistant manager role that includes health insurance benefits, pay increases and bonuses.
