Housekeeper Full-Time w/Excellent Benefits, includes a free meal with each shift worked. Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, Rotating Weekends General cleaning duties of the retirement apartments and houses on Arbor Acres campus. Reports to and is supervised by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Director of Environmental Arts. Duties and Responsibilities: -Clean all areas of houses and apartments including, but not limited to; bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and all living areas. -Dust/clean all surfaces with proper cleaner and method. -Vacuum all required areas. -Mop all required areas. -Make beds, change linens, empty trash, paying special attention to cobwebs and additional needs to ensure that house/apartment is properly cleaned. Typical Physical Demands: -Ability to stand for long periods of time. -Ability to lift 30 lbs. -Ability to walk extensively, to squat, bend, kneel, climb to reach 8 ft. ceilings, and reach above shoulders. -Needs sense of sight, hearing, smell and touch. -Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals. -Must be able to successfully complete an assessment on whether applicants/employees are able to safely perform essential job functions. Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of a 24-hour facility. -Work habits must include: regular attendance, punctuality, teamwork, willingness to learn, initiative, dependability, and promptness. -Ability to communicate with residents, family members, and other staff. -Ability to pay attention to detail and utilize equipment properly. -Must be able to thoroughly read, write, speak, and understand the English language. -Ability to embody and uphold the corporate personality and culture of Arbor Acres with its emphasis on warmth, caring, generation of community, enthusiasm, achievement of excellence, and joy Minimum Education: -High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum Experience: -Prefer two years experience but will consider training the proper candidate.
