To the owner of a slightly chubby cream-colored unneutered male tomcat with white paws, brown eyes, and a blue sparkle collar: I saw your cat hit by a car, and some people helped me take it out of the road. A couple of us stayed with him until he passed, and called Animal Control for the body. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope knowing he didn't die alone will give you some peace. I could tell he was very loved, and I made sure to say sweet things in both English and Spanish while he was awake. I would have called you, but there was no tag. We did check the street for it. For what it's worth, the driver who hit him thought I was his owner and apologized a lot. It also didn't take long for him to pass on.
