Hired movers, paid deposit, they are a no-,show three days in a row. Rented U-Haul and trying to load it now (1pm Thur) alone. Need one person who can help. original ad: Having an extremely difficult time getting people to return phone calls or email as promised. Need to make the above move and prefer labor that has their own truck. Had a service come here and they refused to move stuff because of clutter, even if I moved things and directed what to move next. Additionally, they brought an excessively large truck and there was not enough street parking. The current place is a three-story half-duplex downtown. The third floor has a twin bed. The second floor has a twin bed, a dresser and a queen bed and an air purifier. Both floors have air conditioners. The main floor has a table that isn't heavy, one chair assembled, and unassembled three chairs, tv console, and loveseat (all flatpacked), a rocking chair and a filing cabinet. These are the items difficult for me, as new place has two stories on a breezeway, but the apt is one storey and there is ample parking right by the stairs. This amount of furniture should fit in a 16' truck. Prefer not to have to coordinate a rental truck and a crew. It is probably a 3-4 hour job with 2 or 3 people. I could do this move Sunday afternoon, Monday afternoon, or anytime Wed to Fri. Further issue is I can pay by multiple prepaid gift card or cash, because my debit card was stolen. Note: I can pay by Venmo as well. I have already moved a lot of what's written above. The third floor is empty. The beds are almost in truck. This might take two hours.
