Local US veteran bartenders will be duking it out, creating their "Veteran’s Day" signature cocktails in the ONLY veteran-owned restaurant in town, BRQ! Thanks to our generous sponsors and crowd participation, ALL FUNDS collected will go to our honored charity, Warrior Hunts! We are grateful to have New Orleans’s Seven Three Distilling as our spirit sponsor. Our veteran bartenders will be featuring their cocktails, available for purchase, to show their support for their fellow vets and their families. The Baton Rouge Bartenders’ Guild is grateful to BRQ for hosting our annual Red, White & Blue competition. BRQ is recognized as the ONLY veteran-owned restaurant in town. After serving in the US Army, which included 2 tours in Iraq, Justin Ferguson returned home to open his award-winning restaurant, BRQ. He and his partners have selflessly volunteered their time, staff, and facility to help celebrate ALL of our troops and to raise money for this amazing charity! Warrior Hunt was founded by retired Air Force Master Sergeant, John Nolan, to help Gold Star families and wounded veterans by taking them around the country on hunting and fishing expeditions. Warrior Hunts has recently acquired their own retreat, 4 acres, and a beautiful fixer-upper home in Ashland, Mississippi. Once cleared and rehabbed, this property is the perfect setting for them to host their Gold Star Families, hunts, fishing trips, and retreats for their veterans and families. Our goal for this event is to help them with the funding so the property can be used, as soon as possible. With your help, they'll soon be on their way, supporting and hosting our heroes. Our Master of Ceremonies and Esteemed Emcee will be Charles Hanagriff of Guaranty Broadcasting. We are a group for bartenders and alcohol enthusiasts looking to create and support Baton Rouge as a cocktail town.
