Other highlights include: Tchaikovsky's Hymn of the Cherubim Bach's Symphonia from Christmas Oratorio Thomas Graf's American Christmas Leroy Andersen's Christmas Festival It'll be a show stopping evening you won't want to miss!   We are a community orchestra dedicated to bringing great music to Utah and Salt Lake counties. From classical masterworks to movie themed music, we want to provide a positive environment for musicians to play together and audiences to connect. Through patriotic and civic celebrations, cultural arts festivals, and side-by-side concerts, the orchestra gives performances in four to six municipalities each season.   The crown jewel of the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra is the annual concerto competition. This is the only state-wide competition open to all ages and all instruments. The competition is held in February and the winners from each age category perform as soloists at the final season concert.
