Swampedelic New Orleans funk FB | TWTR | .COM Talley Up! mixes psychedelic funk originals with songs from New Orleans artists such as the Meters, Neville Bros., Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, Jon Cleary and Dumpstaphunk. The band has just released a new live cd "Alive in Marin" recorded from their 8 shows at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael between 2017-2020 and the 2019 Fairfax Festival and has performed with Karl Denson at the High Sierra Music Festival. Keyboardist and bandleader Jim Talley (Eric McFadden) teams with guitarist extraordinaire Tom Finch (Big Brother & the Holding Co) along with amazing drummer Michael Pinkham (New Monsoon), groovy bassist Jen Rund (Stu Allen, Real Sarahs) and newest member Jeff Hobbs on tenor sax to create a swirling tapestry of New Orleans-y grooves! Irresistibly funky rhythms combine with adventurous psychedelic jazzy jamming to create an unstoppable dance floor experience! ---------------------- This show will be held inside Smiley's. We want to stay as safe as possible, so are asking all patrons to please wear a mask and practice social distancing while inside Smiley's unless actively eating or drinking. We will also require proof of vaccination at the door, so please come prepared.
